Doctoral Colloquium
The 2010
Doctoral Colloquium will take place at Cardiff City Hall (starting
at 9.00 am on Monday 29 and finishing at lunch-time on Tuesday 30
March). The City Hall stands in the heart of Cardiff, which is one
of Europe’s
fastest growing capital cities offering a vibrant and diverse mix
of activities, attractions and events. Built in the English Renaissance
style, the City Hall was opened in 1906, a year after Cardiff was
granted its city status.
The BAA's Doctoral
Colloquium is a national event for students registered for a MPhil/PhD
in Accounting and Finance. The purpose is to bring doctoral students
together to offer plenary sessions by leading researchers, dedicated
workshops presented by subject area specialists, offer students the
opportunity to present their work, receive expert comment and advice
from established faculty members and provide an opportunity for group
networking.
Students wishing to present their work should submit an abstract
by 31 December 2009 using the on-line facility on
the BAA’s
web-site. All students meeting this date are automatically
guaranteed the opportunity to present their work.
Delegates wishing
to attend without presenting can register up until 28 February
2010.
Students attending the Doctoral Colloquium may be interested to note
that there is reduced rate for PhD students attending the Annual Conference.
We are also pleased to acknowledge that the sponsorship of the Doctoral Colloquium is provided by the ICAEW.
